11 DAYS TOUR ROUND ALBANIA

Day 1 - Arrival at Rinas Airport – transfer to Tirana - visit of the National Historical Museum- o/n at your hotel.

Day 2 – Drive to Shkodra - visits the memorial of Skanderbeg and the ruins of Lissus (old town) in Lezha- afternoon visit the Rozafa Citadel and Catholic Cathedral, o/n at your hotel.

Day 3 -Drive to Kruja - visits the Citadel built at the 14 th century, still inhabited- the Museum of Skanderbeg and Ethnographic Museum – stroll along the stone road of old bazaar (17century)- drive back to Tirana -free time -o/n at your hotel.

Day 4 - Depart for Korca along Qafa e Krrabes mountain road with fantastic view of lowland of Tirana and Elbasan - short stop in Elbasan – follow on to Pogradeci - optional lunch – continue on to Korca - afternoon visit of Voskopoja village, famous for its churches with religious paints – o/n at your hotel

Day 5 -Drive to Gjirokastra through Permeti and Tepelena, the birthplace of Ali Pasha of Joanina- continue on to Gjirokastra -visit of the old castle and Weapons museum  - o/n at your hotel.

Day 6 - Follow on to Saranda - Visit the ruins of the antic city of Butrinti – afternoon excursion at “Blue Eye” Spring water - o/n in your hotel.

Day 7 – Drive to Vlora along mountain road of Albanian Riviera - stop on route in “Porto Palermo” bay to visit the Ali Pasha Fortress - coffee stop in Borshi village and Pass of Llogara (3500 feet above sea level) - o/n in  Vlora.

Day 8 – Drive to Fieri – visit the Apolonia Archaeological Center – Stop en route in Ardenica Monastery - Follow on to Berati - o/n at hotel.

Day 9 - Visit the Citadel of Berati with an history of 2400 years built on the top hill of the city, still inhabited - visit the “Onufri" museum which is a must for any visitor of the city -afternoon drive to Durres - accommodation, o/n at beach hotel.

Day 10 -Visit of the Roman Amphitheater and Archaeological Museum – continue on to Tirana – free afternoon - dinner with Folk Show at a local restaurant - o/n at your hotel.

Day 11- Time at leisure – check out the hotel – drive to Rinas airport – Departure
