Museum of National History (Tirana):
This is the most important Albanian museum and includes 3,600 items of Albanian cultural heritage that begins with the Paleolithic and continues until items from our own day. Of greatest interest are items from prehistory, antiquity, the middle ages and the period of Albanian national independence.

Museum of Archeology (Durres):
This museum is rich in items from the ancient period before Illyria, and from the Roman and Byzantine eras. One can find currencies from various periods, swords and armaments, ceramic amphora and sculptures.

Gjergj Kastrioti Skenderbeg Museum (Kruje):
Sections of this museum include many original objects, various authentic and reproduced documents, and wall murals that give one a full picture of the Albanian resistance to early Ottoman expansion in the 15th Century.

Ethnographic Museum (Kruje):
This building represents unique architecture. Ninety percent of the items on display are original, some of which are nearly 500 years old. Most remarkably is that the majority of all items are still functional today.

National Museum of Onofri (Berat):
The Onufri Museum of Berat is in the Saint Mary's cathedral in the center of the old castle walls of Berat.
